Founded by Dr. Christine Perkins in 1997, Radiant Health & Wellness is an Evidence-based and Integrative Naturopathic Clinic. We are a team of Naturopathic Doctors, nurses, care coordinators, and more who are dedicated to providing you with an exceptional health care experience.
History
The Clinic’s History
Dr. Christine Perkins founded Radiant Health & Wellness nearly three decades ago. The greatest joy of running her own clinic is the privilege of working with her patients in many different settings.
1998 - 2008
After moving to Alberta in 1998, I began to make professional connections and started my practice in a small, mulit-disciplinary clinic. I was so grateful to be able to blend part time Naturopathic doctoring with mothering my young baby. And today, I am so honoured to say that I have many of the patients and families that I helped in those early days still with me.
In those early years, I had another son and my little family expanded; so practicing from home was the next evolution of my practice.
Eventually, I outgrew a home clinic. It was a little chaotic as you can imagine and so I found a space close to home where I could expand my practice, maintain professionalism and be available to my family easily.
And then about 10 years later I felt the call to be in a multidisciplinary clinic again. I was longing to have more interaction with my peers and colleagues.
2020 - Present
But in 2020, it was time for me to go back out on my own again. Dr Kieran Avlonitis, my son, was training to be a Naturopathic Doctor and I was ready to set the stage for a practice together in a central location in Calgary.
It was also the start of the Pandemic. And it became very obvious to me that I needed to have more innovative and effective therapies available to support my patients. So the clinic was designed with that in mind.
And that has been the latest evolution of Radiant Health and Wellness. We have a welcoming and comfortable clinic in the SW of Calgary, with an IV suite and consult rooms for history taking, evaluation, assessment and treatment of our patients.
