Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

A therapy involving a tapping technique along with a verbal stimulus. When combined, physiologic and energetic meridian changes can occur to elicit a rapid and effective emotional relief.

HOW IT WORKS

Understanding Emotional Freedom Technique

What is EFT Therapy?

EFT is a rapidly working, non-cognitive behavioural therapy. It combines a tapping technique with verbal phraseology to elicit an effect on the mind, body, and spirit. It is a safe and effective tool, utilizing the power of neuro-linguistic re-programming and energetic medicine.

How EFT Works

EFT utilizes specific acupuncture points along energetic meridians (similar to those in TCM) without inserting needles to stimulate the point. Instead, the points are tapped using finger tips, stimulating their energetic properties.

Alongside tapping, verbal phrases are spoken and repeated which target the goals of the individual, helping to transform mental and emotional states.

Our Approach

Our clinic provides access to discussions about integrative modalities such as EFT. When appropriate, these therapies may be explored in collaboration with each patient’s care team.

We do not claim that EFT is a treatment or cure for any disease. Instead, our role is to educate, inform, and support patients who wish to understand the range of integrative approaches that are being studied internationally and used in an integrative setting to best achieve their health goals.
